Please bear with me on this, because it's actually really cool and could potentially indicate where the Duffer Brothers are heading for ST 4.
Concerning Episode 7 "The Bite":
14:50 into the episode, Dustin, Erica, Steve, and Robin hide out in the theater as Back to the Future is playing on screen.
It's the scene at Twin Pines Mall where Marty says, "Doc, you mean to tell me that you built a time machine...out of a Delorean?!"
(You can actually hear the line @14:25 and then AGAIN @ 14:41. WHOOPS!)
The Duffers then chose to show the final scene of BACK TO THE FUTURE later in "The Bite". We can hear the final lines of BACK TO THE FUTURE @ the 38:40 mark of "The Bite":
Marty: Hey, Doc, we better back up, we don't have enough roads to get up to 88.
Doc: Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads.
This scene and these lines from BACK TO THE FUTURE happen an HOUR AND 51 minutes into the movie. 60+51=111 minutes.
Knowing this, I wondered how much of BACK TO THE FUTURE's MOVIE TIME had passed between these two scenes shown by the Duffers in "The Bite".
So I did the math:
Final scene of BACK TO THE FUTURE (111 minutes in) the Duffers played @ 38:40 mark of their episode "The Bite".
The first scene of BACK TO THE FUTURE we see (Twin Pines Mall scene 23:23 minutes into movie) is played @ 14:50 mark of "The Bite".
111 minutes (point of time in Back to the Future we see this last scene play @ 38:40) MINUS 23 minutes (point of time in Back to the Future we see the Twin Pines Mall scene play when Scoops Troop hides out):
111 - 23 = 88 minutes ... WHAT!?
88 minutes of BACK TO THE FUTURE played between the time mark points of 14:50 and 38:40 in STRANGER THINGS STORY TIME.
88 minutes ... 88 MILES PER HOUR! The speed at which the Delorean must reach to time travel!
88 minutes of BACK TO THE FUTURE went by in (38:40 - 14:50)
24 MINUTES of STRANGER THINGS STORY TIME (from the moment Dustin walks out of the theater telling Erica he's going to find a ride to the moment Back to the Future ends and Scoops Troop leave with the audience.
88 minutes of Back to the Future went by in 24 minutes of Stranger Things story time.
And how many minutes of movie time passing is that per minute of story time?
88/24 = 3.6666666
And what is 3.6 repeating rounded up to the next tenths place value?
And what episode is "The Bite" in Stranger Things 3?
So could Stranger Things 4 employ time travel based off of this finding?
